Rachael Kroeker is a full-time ceramic artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba who has been working with clay for over 13 years. Form and aesthetics are the founding elements in her modern slip cast tableware, with her designs exploring line movement, pattern and colour. She strives to achieve a harmonious balance between function, beauty and fine craft.

For these mugs, Rachael added colourful porcelain grog to her press-moulded mugs. This process leaves recesses to which she has inlayed colourful stains. These mugs are sanded smooth, but not so much as to lose their groggy texture.
