Originally from Newfoundland, Katrina is back and living in Renews!

In between growing up in Mount Pearl and then returning home to the Southern Shore a few years ago, Katrina has had an extensive ceramic career. With a BFA from NSCAD University in Nova Scotia, Katrina then completed a MFA from Alfred University in New York and went on to teach at various recognized ceramic schools across Canada, latterly at the Alberta University of the Arts (formerly ACAD).

Throughout her years of teaching, Katrina maintained a studio practice, travelled, attended residencies, and exhibited her work.

Katrina lives across the road from her great-grandmother’s house in Renews. Katrina's studio is attached to the house in what was her great-grandmother's store. The house was left to Katrina by her grandmother and is fondly still in use seasonally by family.
