Shipping Information
Information about our shipping options:
Shipping within Canada
We now offer $20 flat rate shipping within Canada!
Orders will be shipped via UPS or other private courier — with the exception of PO Boxes or rural and remote addresses where courier shipping is not feasible, in which case we will use Canada Post.
This $20 flat rate will be automatically applied at checkout to any orders shipping to a Canadian address.
International customers:
Due to the wide range in international shipping rates, we are not able to offer flat rate shipping outside of Canada. Canada Post options will be calculated automatically at checkout for orders shipping to addresses outside of Canada. If after your purchase we are able to find a better rate with another carrier, we will contact you.
A note about shipping to the US:
This is a work in progress! There are many more steps (and tariff codes), than there were before the US Government increased tariffs on Canadian goods to 35% and eliminated the $800 de minimus.
For the time being, we will be offering Canada Post shipping options because that is what is offered to us through our website provider.
Canada post automatically applies a 35% duty to all packages heading to the United States, regardless of CUSMA-compliance. This duty will be charged at checkout.
We believe that since ceramic items are CUSMA compliant we may be able to obtain a lower duty rate through a different carrier and refund the customer the difference — but we are still learning so stay tuned!
Please also note that we will not be able to combine multiple orders heading to US into one box, as this complicates the customs declaration.
Additionally, food items being shipped to the United States may be subject to additional regulations that we are not currently prepared to ensure we can conform to, so we will not be able to ship any chocolate, liquorice, etc. to the US at present.
We have also been made aware that some customers from the US have been having issues with being unable to complete their purchases using Apple Pay as they do not support duty collection. If you are having issues with Apple Pay, please try a different payment provider. We are told that Shop Pay is working.
