Scaldaferro Italian Torrone Nougat
We can only order nougat from Scaldaferro once a year; we order in the summer and it arrives around November. Once it sells out it is gone until the next annual order!
This production line is made by hand pulling a very thin sheet of nougat. They are composed of a mixture of Italian honeys to give colour, aroma and flavour very characteristic and of peeled and calibrated Apulian or Sicilian almonds, roasted directly in the laboratory and added to the mixture while still hot. The delicate cooking of more than 8 hours in a bain-marie, to keep intact the properties of the ingredients used and the hand laying of the product in a bed of wafer make each package unique and inimitable.
