This bowl has beach sand — from the Salmon Cove Sands, Newfoundland — swirled into the porcelain clay. It has been glazed on the inside with a clear glaze to showcase the sand. The rim is glazed with a beautiful blue crystalline.

This bowl is risen up on a hollow pedestal. These two pieces were thrown separately and joined together.

Approximately 15.5 centimetres from rim to rim and about 6.5 centimetres tall.
