This small pinch pot puddle measures about 7-8 centimetres in diameter and was made by wrapping porcelain clay around a beach rock from Newfoundland.
Pinch Pots are one of the simplest pottery forms. Alexis combines one of the simplest forms with one of the most complex glazes in creating this design. Porcelain clay is "pinched" into a bowl shape and then laid to rest on a beach rock while it dries. The crystalline glaze pools in the bottom of the bowl to look like a puddle of water and ice.
