This cup features a seascape with a tree decal, indents for comfort in holding, and of course Lesley's signature red dot.

I add ceramic pigments to porcelain slip and layers of colour are applied and reworked to build up a beautifully tactile and visually stimulating surface. Once bisque fired more layers of underglaze colours are added and sanded back thus building up an even richer depth of surface texture. It is then fired to a Stoneware temperature with a glossy glaze which enhances the colours. Sometimes decals have then been applied and the item is fired for a third time.
