This dinner plate is about 28 centimetres across and features beach sand collected in Sandy Point Beach, Lawn, Newfoundland. This plate is glazed with white crystalline on the rim and has clear glaze over the center to showcase the sand. 

The texture of the crystals can be felt on the rim of the plate.
