Ray Mackie
Ray Mackie is a master potter, best known for his part in creating the pottery forms for Lucky Rabbit Pottery, based in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Debra Kuzyk, his partner and collaborator, decorated all of that work with her distinctive style. Ray has recently built a high temperature, propane fired kiln, and has been making his individual work for about 3 years. His love of traditional Japanese glazes is evident in much of this work. (Shino, Tenmoku, ash).
His work is durable, safe, and each piece has an individual quality. His identifying mark is as circular “RM” on the lower part of each piece.
