A cream-colored bowl on dark red stoneware with pink cherry blossoms.

The cherry blossoms are hand painted onto newsprint, then a coat of slip is applied and the paper is wrapped around the pot to transfer the image. Once that dries to leather hard the branches and details are hand carved into the pot.

Size: about 17 centimetres in diameter and 5-6 centimetres deep.
